The name of this Institute shall be “WKU Institute of Societal & Contemporary Computing”. Research is the primary activity of this Centre. Problem orientation and relevance have been the priority in the formulation of the Centre’s research perspectives. Research problems and gaps are identified based on the existing knowledge, trends and behavioral parameters. The Centre’s research focuses more on the economic and social problems. This institute takes up research in the fields of multidisciplinary projects in different fields like Agriculture and Food Security, Education, Pubic security, Irrigation and Water Management, Public Finance, Demography, Health and Environment. It also undertakes research projects sponsored by in and out of Wenzhou city industries, as well as international agencies like Bank, Department For International Development (DFID), Airlines, Conducting interdisciplinary research in analytical and applied areas of social sciences encompassing socio-economic and other aspects of societal development. The idea behind this Center is equipped with advanced computer and hardware and software kits so that students can come with solutions and innovations. Playing with clay can be sculptor. This institute will not Come up with any projects but will help the students to bring their dreams to reality, their ideas into application.Its sphere of research activity would be expanded beyond WKU covering other areas of the Zhejiang provenience and global problems in computer science.The information of the Director and the major members are mentioned in the applications .We the department faculty would like to join to gather in the research institute to empower the students .
